Role: Engineering Geologist

Salary: £30-£45k (Depending on experience)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Geologist to join our successful team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented, professional geologist, with a passion for delivering high-quality consultancy services. You will play a key role in supporting a variety of projects, ranging from small-scale developments to large, multidisciplinary infrastructure schemes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct site investigations, including desk studies, site supervision, and data collection
• Prepare technical reports, including Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Site Investigations.
• Provide technical advice and solutions to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Undertake risk assessments and provide recommendations for remediation strategies where necessary
• Assist in the preparation of tenders, proposals, and project documentation

Requirements:

• A degree in Geology/Environmental Science, or a related discipline
• Proven experience as an Engineering Geologist
• Strong knowledge of UK regulations, standards, and environmental guidelines
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• UK driving licence
• Commutable to Manchester

Daily Duties:

• Conducting site visits to supervise investigations and collect samples
• Analysing soil, rock, and groundwater data to assess site conditions
• Preparing detailed reports and presenting findings to clients and stakeholders
• Liaising with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project requirements are met
• Managing project timelines and budgets effectively
