Multi-Trade Mobile Engineer

Salary: -32,500 - -37,500 + Company Van

Location: Essex & Greater London

Our client is looking for a Multi-Trade Mobile Engineer to join our maintenance team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across railway stations and associated buildings in Essex and Greater London

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance tasks.
• General building and facilities maintenance.
• Basic fault finding, inspections and minor repairs.
• Identifying and reporting defects requiring specialist attention.
• Completing maintenance records using our CAFM/mobile reporting system.
• Supporting specialist electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and fire engineers.
• Carrying out surveys and asset verification.
• Managing basic van stock, tools and materials.
• Maintaining clean, safe and operational work areas.
• Working in line with RAMS, Work Package Plans and railway safety requirements.
• Escalating safety-critical defects promptly.

Experience

Practical experience in one or more of the following would be beneficial:

• Plumbing: Minor leaks, taps, valves, toilets and basic drainage.
• HVAC/Mechanical: Ventilation, filters, plant checks and basic fault identification.
• Electrical: Visual inspections, lamps and basic maintenance where suitably trained and authorised.
• Fire & Life Safety: Fire doors, emergency lighting and basic fire safety inspections.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Practical and hands-on with multi-trade maintenance experience.
• Safety-conscious and reliable.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Confident communicating with customers, station staff and contractors.
• Organised and able to complete accurate digital maintenance records.
• Appropriately trained and competent for any specialist work undertaken.
• Full UK Driving License
