This school supports pupils who have struggled in mainstream settings due to Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs or Autistic Spectrum Conditions. This isn''t just "classroom support." You will be a mentor, a role model, and a steadying presence for students who often face significant daily challenges. Your focus will be on breaking down barriers to learning through emotional support and tailored behavioral interventions. Key Responsibilities 1:1 Mentorship: Deliver bespoke interventions to help students manage anxiety and develop social communication skills. De-escalation and Regulation: Use positive handling and de-escalation strategies (e.g., Team-Teach) to maintain a safe, calm learning environment. Nurture-Based Support: Work within a nurture framework to help students re-engage with the curriculum at their own pace. Collaboration: Work alongside the SENCo, Educational Psychologists, and parents to track emotional and academic progress.
