An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Cheshire West Council. This is a temporary Children''s Social Worker role within the Permanency team. In this role you will benefit from a competitive hourly rate whilst having the opportunity to work in a professional and vibrant environment.

Within this role you will be undertaking a number of responsibilities associated with creating permanency for children, you will be working closely with friends and family in order to meet a stable long term placement for the child. You main responsibilities are listed below.

• Carrying out initial viability assessments and associated checks
• Carrying out full viability assessments on family members and friends who may become connected persons/alternative carers long term and associated checks
• Undertaking other permanency related work including adoption and the writing of the CPR.

For this position you will need hold a recognised social work qualification and be SCE registered. Furthermore, you will have at least three years post qualified and have significant experience in Permanence roles and have proven performance in quality case work in line with Cheshire Wests expectations, and an ability to work openly and honestly with children, families and partner agencies.
