Are you a Chartered Principal Structural Engineer looking to lead major infrastructure projects across the UK? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering consultancy delivering technically challenging projects across the power, aviation, nuclear, defence, rail and industrial sectors.
The Opportunity
As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across complex structural projects while managing and mentoring engineering teams. You will oversee structural designs, calculations, drawings and specifications, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest technical standards.
You will also manage project programmes, budgets and commercial performance, support tender submissions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and help drive innovation and continuous improvement.
What You''ll Need
·Chartered Engineer (CEng MIStructE or CEng MICE).
·Experience leading structural design teams on complex projects, ideally within the power sector.
·Strong knowledge of UK structural design standards and assurance processes.
·Experience designing steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures, foundations and structural assessments.
·Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
·Commercial awareness and project management experience.
·Understanding of CDM regulations and structural safety responsibilities.
·CSCS card, full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
Salary & Benefits
·£55,000-£65,000 (salary dependent on experience).
·Car allowance.
·Hybrid working (two office days per week).
