Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and helping them reach their full potential?

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an SEN Secondary School in Blackley, supporting pupils across the school and providing tailored support to those with additional learning and behavioural needs.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the school''s SEN team to provide effective support both in and out of the classroom. You may be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, helping them access learning and develop their confidence, independence and social skills.

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
• Supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication and learning needs
• Helping pupils to regulate emotions and manage behaviour positively
• Supporting pupils to engage with classroom activities and learning
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
• Working closely with teachers, the SENCO and wider support staff
• Adapting support to meet individual pupils'' needs
• Promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviour

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Experience within an SEN school, specialist provision, PRU or similar setting.
• A patient, caring and resilient approach.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with challenging or vulnerable pupils.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
