This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic workshop, enjoys problem-solving, and can balance technical responsibilities with team leadership. Key Responsibilities of the HGV Workshop Supervisor Lead, support, and motivate a team of HGV/PSV Technicians and Fitters within the workshop. Carry out hands-on maintenance, servicing, and repair of HGVs/PSVs as required. Ensure all vehicles are maintained to DVSA standards and operators licence requirements. Allocate workloads, monitor productivity, and support technicians with technical queries. Oversee defect management, vehicle diagnostics, and repair quality checks. Maintain accurate workshop records and ensure compliance with safety procedures. Liaise with engineering management regarding fleet performance and maintenance planning. Support the implementation of continuous improvement across the workshop.
