School Mental Health Assistant

OverviewSchool Mental Health Assistant - Education and Training - Bletchley. Role to start in April, May or June depending on your circumstances. The school in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a School Mental Health Assistant to work with students with special educational and emotional needs in a SEND setting. The school is looking for graduates, or soon-to-be graduates, who are interested in gaining experience with students with additional needs. Interviews are actively taking place, and applications are encouraged promptly.
Responsibilities
Work within a SEND School to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, and behavioural difficulties.
Provide consistent support for at least 12 months to aid pupil progression and school stability.
Support roles are suitable for individuals pursuing roles as Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants.
Qualifications and Experience
Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, or related fields who aspire to roles such as Education Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, or Occupational Therapist.
Some experience working with children is beneficial; however, motivation and the right personality are also important.
