The Role

LiveScore Group is seeking a Senior Freelance Design Systems Designer to lead the creation and implementation of a cross-brand design system that will power the next stage of our product evolution. Working closely with product designers, engineers and stakeholders across LiveScore, LiveScore Bet and Virgin Bet, you’ll design, document and deliver a system that improves speed, consistency, accessibility and scalability across the business.4 days per week, onsite (Soho, London)Contract role – 6 monthsThis is a hands-on, strategic role. You''ll be the driving force behind the system’s structure, design principles and adoption. You’ll also help lay the groundwork for how we evolve our use of AI in design, by creating a structured and semantic system that’s built for automation and scale.Why This Role Matters

Our current design libraries are fragmented and under-maintained. Designers and engineers are duplicating effort, and our ability to scale, move at pace and adopt AI in our design process is being held back. With full sign-off secured for a phased rollout, this is your opportunity to build the system that unlocks consistency, efficiency and smarter ways of working across all our brands and regions.Key Responsibilities

Audit, refine and evolve existing design assets into a coherent, reusable systemDefine tokens, components, interaction patterns and documentation across brandsWork closely with front-end developers to ensure the design system is structured and built in a way which can be implemented end to endBake accessibility standards into the system from the outsetCreate clear, practical documentation and usage guidelinesDefine a governance and contribution model to support long-term maintainabilityIdentify opportunities to support AI-driven workflows and automationSupport internal education and onboarding to drive adoptionWhat We’re Looking For

Experience building or scaling large-scale design systems (ideally multi-brand)Expert-level knowledge of Figma, including components, variants and tokensDeep understanding of accessibility and inclusive designFamiliarity with AI design tools or semantic structuringExperience working in close partnership with engineersA systems thinker who designs for flexibility, clarity and scaleStrong communicator who can build trust and bring others on the journeyBonus: experience in sports, gaming or fintech sectorsWorking Pattern
