Operations and Supply Chain Assistant
Duties: Procurement and Inventory Support- raise and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and supplies- communicate with suppliers to confirm pricing, lead times, and delivery accuracy- monitor stock levels and alert relevant teams to potential shortages or delaysLogistics and Transport Booking- schedule collections and deliveries with logistics providers- prepare delivery documentation (packing lists, labels, shipping notes) as required- track shipments and ensure on-time deliveries to customers and distribution partnersProduct Setup and Data Management- create and maintain product records in ERP or inventory systems- input product specifications, pricing, and categorisation details accurately- support updates to product catalogues, BOMs (bills of materials), and system data as neededCustomer Service and Order Management- serve as a point of contact for customer queries, providing timely and professional support via phone and email- accurately process customer orders, ensuring compliance with stock levels, pricing, and delivery schedules- coordinate with production and warehouse teams to track order status and resolve any issues Skills:Prior experience in an administrative, operations, or logistics support role ideally within a manufacturing or distribution environmentFamiliarity with supply chain processes, order systems, and transport coordinationStrong computer skills, especially in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Sage)Excellent communication,
