Job Title: Food Production OperativeLocation: Merthyr Tydfil Salary: £12.21 - £14.00 Hours: 6am to 2pm, Monday to Friday2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday10pm 6am Sunday to Thursday About the Role:We are currently recruiting a Production Operative to join our client s busy meat processing facility in Merthyr Tydfil This is a hands-on role within an abattoir environment, supporting the slaughter and processing of livestock in accordance with strict hygiene, food safety, and animal welfare standards.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is hardworking, reliable, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment. Full training is provided.Key Responsibilities: Assist with the humane handling and processing of livestockOperate production equipment and tools safely and efficientlyFollow all hygiene, health and safety.Carry out basic quality control checksMaintain a clean and organised work areaWork collaboratively to meet daily production targets What We re Looking For: Previous experience in a production, abattoir, or food processing environment is desirable (but not essential full training provided)Good level of physical fitness and ability to work in a cold environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safetyA positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learnComfortable working with live animals and raw meat products
