Assembler

Location: Hemel Hempstead
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:15am-4:15pm
Salary: -30,000 per annum
Contract: 6 months guaranteed, with likelihood to extend

We are currently recruiting for a Assembler to join a busy production team in Hemel Hempstead. The role involves assembling small components and complete units using hand tools, drawings and written instructions. Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided, but attention to detail, reliability and a hands-on approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities as a Assembler

• Assemble small components, sub-assemblies and complete units
• Work from drawings, diagrams and written instructions
• Use a variety of small hand tools to complete assemblies
• Work accurately to fine tolerances and quality standards
• Follow production procedures and build instructions
• Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines
• Assemble a variety of products for the aerospace industry
• Maintain high levels of quality and workmanship
• Work collaboratively within the production team
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures
• Demonstrate reliability and punctuality

Skills & Experience as a Assembler

• Previous production or assembly experience is desirable but not essential
• Full training will be provided
• A practical and hands-on approach to work
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to follow drawings and written instructions accurately
• Ability to use small hand tools confidently
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work accurately within a production environment
• Flexible attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
