Triple West Medical has been appointed by an NHS Trust based in the Bath area to help recruit an

Associate Specialist / Consultant Psychiatrist – General Adults

on a substantive or FTC basis.

The Trust is one of the largest in the UK, with over 5,000 staff offering a range of physical and mental health services. The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and friendly department of psychiatrists, whose services include inpatient, community, specialist, and emergency care.

Brief Duties:

Assessment of new patients and clinical supervision of assessments carried out by other team members

Full participation in the multidisciplinary team

Senior medical responsibility for the care provided by the Community Mental Health Team

Review and monitoring of caseloads to ensure appropriate care packages and facilitate discharges to maintain patient flow

Contributing to the ongoing development of the Community Mental Health Team

Conducting domiciliary visits to provide assessment and treatment services

Performing domiciliary assessments in response to emergencies

Engaging in research, including personal projects and clinical audits

Participating in joint planning of future service development

Facilitating admission and discharge processes through close liaison with wards

Our client is willing to issue Certificates of Sponsorships to suitably qualified overseas doctors. GMC registration and relevant experience are essential for this position.
