TIG Welder

Location: Brierley Hill
Pay: £15 - £17 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am - 4.30pm, Friday 8am - 1.30pm
Job Type: Temporary ongoing

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder to join a busy manufacturing company based in Brierley Hill.

This is a hands-on TIG welding role, with the main requirement being experience welding thin-gauge aluminium and mild steel between 1.2mm and 1.5mm.


The role

• TIG welding aluminium and mild steel
  
  
• Working with materials between 1.2mm and 1.5mm
  
  
• Producing neat, clean and accurate welds
  
  
• Working to drawings and specifications
  
  
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and quality
  
  
• Carrying out welding work to the required specifications
  
  
• Working as part of a skilled manufacturing team
  
  

About you
The successful TIG Welder will ideally have:

• Proven TIG welding experience
  
  
• Strong experience welding 1.2mm - 1.5mm aluminium and mild steel
  
  
• Experience working with thin-gauge materials
  
  
• The ability to produce a consistent, high-quality weld
  
  
• Good attention to detail
  
  
• The ability to work accurately to drawings and specifications
  
  
• A reliable and hardworking approach
  
  

Weld Test

A weld test will form part of the recruitment process.

This will allow the client to assess your practical TIG welding ability, including the quality and finish of your welds and your experience working with 1.2mm - 1.5mm aluminium and mild steel.


Working hours

• Monday to Thursday: 8am - 4.30pm
  
  
• 30-minute unpaid break
  
  
• Friday: 8am - 1.30pm
  
  
• No break on Friday due to the shorter working day
