The Opportunity We are working with an established manufacturing business in West Bromwich to recruit a proactive, hands-on Quality Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional who enjoys working closely with manufacturing, engineering and logistics teams, investigating technical issues and driving continuous improvement. You will play a key role in maintaining the Quality Management System, supporting customer investigations, ensuring product conformity and improving quality performance across the operation. ISO 9001 knowledge is essential. Experience with UL and ATEX requirements would be advantageous but is not essential. Key Responsibilities Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 and applicable customer requirements. Investigate customer complaints, internal non-conformances and manufacturing process failures. Lead root cause investigations using techniques such as 8D, 5 Whys and fishbone analysis. Coordinate containment, corrective and preventive actions, ensuring actions are completed on time and their effectiveness is verified. Provide practical quality support to production, assembly, warehouse, technical and engineering teams. Support first-off, in-process and final inspections, product validation, testing, traceability and product release.
