Working within the busy Technology Solutions department of a globally recognised brand, you will be responsible for managing the governance and delivery of administrative services across Finance, Procurement and Projects for the IT department.
This position would be ideal for an IT professional with an interest in finance, offering the opportunity to learn from an experienced colleague before progressing into a leadership position with responsibility for one direct report.
You''ll combine IT operational knowledge with financial oversight, working closely with both IT and Finance teams to manage budgets, projects, suppliers and governance activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the financial, procurement and governance activities that support the IT function, ensuring processes are delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with company policies.
- Oversee purchase orders, invoices, supplier contracts and software licence renewals, maintaining accurate records and ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained.
- Support IT budget management through financial analysis, reporting, expenditure tracking, accruals, fixed asset management and year-end processes.
- Maintain service cost information and contribute to the development of service catalogues, recharge models and financial reporting.
- Monitor and maintain timesheet, resource and cost allocation data, ensuring compliance with company policies and project requirements.
- Review and approve financial transactions, ensuring expenditure is correctly coded and aligned with departmental budgets.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation, financial records and evidence as required.
- Maintain project and portfolio documentation, governance frameworks, reporting and controls, working closely with project and business stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy and governance across the IT function.
- Build effective relationships with suppliers, internal teams and senior stakeholders to support the successful delivery of IT services and projects.
Key Skills:
- A technical IT background would be beneficial.
- Finance literate, including budget and financial management, with a good understanding of Opex and Capex.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and calculations.
- Experience in licence management and supplier management.
