Design Manager - Residential Project

I''m working with a respected developer on a major residential scheme in Canary Wharf. They''re looking for an experienced Design Manager to join the team on a permanent basis, working client-side to coordinate and deliver design packages across a large multi-phase project.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a well-structured team on a project with strong design intent, high standards, and a lot of technical complexity.

What you''ll be doing:

• Coordinating consultant and trade contractor design packages, ensuring delivery is on time and aligned with the programme
• Reviewing drawings and technical submittals to ensure compliance with statutory regs and internal design guides
• Leading design meetings, managing actions, and liaising closely with site teams and the commercial department
• Supporting with procurement of packages and input on value engineering opportunities
• Ensuring planning conditions are discharged and handover information is compiled and complete

What they''re looking for:

• 5-7 years'' experience in a role within residential construction
• Strong understanding of building regs, construction methods and technical coordination
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment
• Able to manage consultants and subcontractors effectively and drive progress
• Site experience is a bonus, but not essential

This is a hands-on role with lots of ownership - ideal for someone who wants to get stuck into a project and see it through.
