If you’re interested in solving customer challenges at immense scale, then this is the role for you!”ResponsibilitiesExperience in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment, delivering products within specific time-scales and engaging with multiple senior stakeholdersDeliver AWS based Java services through CI/CD and Infrastructure as code using TerraformDeploy, Monitor and analyze AWS usage, providing recommendations for cost optimisations without compromising system performance and reliabilityRefactor monolithic applications into a microservices/k8s architectureProvide support during critical production incidents and implement preventive measuresAdhere to coding standards within the team and ensuring consistency with company-wide technology adoptionsAdhere to comprehensive technical documentation for architectures, processes, and proceduresTake part in backlog grooming, planning, design reviews and code reviewsGuide other engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growthBe an effective team player through collaboration, problem solving, and teamworkExperienceDemonstratable expertise in Java development, with a strong command of Java 11 and aboveProven experience in designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems for data processing at scale within AWSHands-on experience with AWS services, such as; ALB, S3, ElastiCache, IAM, CloudWatch, DynamoDb, EKSKnowledge and experience on Kubernetes is advantageousExperience in building scalable, distributed REST/ microservices on hybrid cloud environmentsExperience with high concurrency applications, multithreading, low-latency, servers architecturesHands-on experience with Jenkins and establishing robust CI/CD pipelinesExperience in Agile environment using approaches such as ScrumExperience in both relational and NoSQL databases, with an understanding of database design, optimization, and managementExperience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormationExperience in programming languages like python is advantageousKnowledge of email messaging and security is highly advantageousWhat We BringJoin our Gateway Security team to accelerate your career journey, working with cutting-edge technologies and contributing to projects that have real customer impact.
