Assistant Management Accountant

Your new role
As Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the business. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing transactional finance activities, and assisting with the production of management information.Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Processing invoices, billing activities, and financial transactions.
- Supporting month-end reporting and ensuring accurate financial results.
- Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Monitoring outstanding payments and liaising with internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Reviewing credit limits and supporting credit control processes.
- Maintaining accurate customer and supplier ledgers, journals, and financial records.
- Producing regular and ad-hoc financial reports to support business decision-making.
- Supporting internal and external audits.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Assisting with expense administration and reconciliations.
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, and reporting
What you''ll need to succeed
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance
- Experience working with both sales and purchase ledgers.
- Strong bookkeeping and financial administration knowledge.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience using accounting or ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive and professional approach with a desire to develop your career within finance.
