The University of Cambridge is offering an exciting opportunity to join its Occupational Health Service as a Senior Occupational Health Adviser. You will become part of a dynamic and friendly team dedicated to promoting health and wellbeing across the University. We are looking for an experienced Registered General Nurse (adult branch) with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration and a post-registration qualification in Occupational Health at Certificate, Diploma, or Degree level. Responsibilities Clinical activities Provide occupational health support and advice via telephone, Microsoft Teams, and in person at onsite facilities. Prioritize and manage clinical caseloads, addressing complex cases with advanced healthcare knowledge. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with NMC guidelines, data protection, and health and safety regulations. Make evidence-based decisions following service user assessments and refer to other health professionals as needed. Produce clear post-consultation reports to assist with workplace adjustments. Advise on fitness for work, rehabilitation post-absence/injury, and follow up on health issues after accidents. Perform administrative tasks, including managing clinical records, completing health screening forms, and coordinating with the support team for appointment bookings.
