We are currently recruiting for an organised, commercially minded and detail-oriented Sales Estimator to join a growing business based in Shrewsbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong numerical skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to turn customer requirements into accurate, competitive quotations. The ideal candidate will be confident working with measurements, calculating costs and communicating with customers and internal teams to ensure projects run smoothly from quotation through to completion.

The Role

This is a varied role combining-home estimating, surveying and sales, with additional responsibility for supporting our retail stores when required.

Your main role will be attending pre-booked customer appointments in their homes, professionally measuring their flooring requirements, helping them select suitable products, preparing quotations and converting opportunities into sales.

When required, you will also-cover one of the four flooring stores, supporting the retail team with customers, quotations and sales. This may include covering holidays, sickness or periods where additional support is needed.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Attending pre-booked home-measure appointments
• Accurately measuring rooms, stairs, landings and other areas
• Assessing subfloors and identifying preparation requirements with full knowledge of flooring preperation.
• Advising customers on carpets, LVT, laminate and other flooring
• Deliver outstanding customer service which encourages recommendation and repeat business
• Helping customers select products based on style, performance and budget
• Calculating flooring, accessories and installation requirements
• Preparing accurate quotations
• Following up quotations and outstanding opportunities
• Closing sales and taking customer deposits
• Offering finance options where appropriate
• Taking accurate photographs and maintaining detailed job notes
• Liaising with our stores, office and installation teams
• Providing sales cover at one of our four flooring stores when required
• Supporting customers in-store and helping convert enquiries into sales

Who We''re Looking For

This position would suit someone with previous experience in-flooring sales, estimating or surveying-who wants a role where their earning potential is linked to their performance.
