Role Overview We are recruiting an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Supervisor to support and lead EHS programmes at a regulated manufacturing site in Durham. This is a hands-on role combining site presence with strategic influence. You ll work closely with plant leadership and central EHS functions to ensure regulatory compliance, drive continuous improvement, and embed a strong, proactive safety culture across the site. Key Responsibilities Provide visible, hands-on EHS leadership through regular site presence, inspections, audits, and reviews Ensure full compliance with UK environmental, health, and safety legislation Lead and maintain site EHS management systems, including ISO 14001 certification Develop and implement site-specific EHS strategies, objectives, and KPIs Deliver engaging EHS training for employees, contractors, and leadership teams Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions Manage environmental permits, water discharge consents, and regulatory reporting Oversee waste management programs (hazardous and non-hazardous) and contractor compliance Drive a proactive EHS culture through coaching, engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives Monitor performance trends and recommend actions to reduce risk and improve compliance Required Qualifications and Experience Bachelor s degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Management, Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline 5 10 years experience in an
