About the Role:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Southampton. This full-time role will involve working closely with teaching staff to support students across a range of subjects and abilities, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Located in Southampton, the school caters to students aged 11 to 16 and is known for its inclusive and welcoming ethos. With a strong emphasis on teamwork, high teaching standards, and staff development, the school offers a collaborative environment where all staff are valued and supported. Onsite parking is available for staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in the delivery of lessons and learning activities
• Provide classroom assistance and supervision of students
• Offer one-to-one or small group support when required
• Help maintain a safe, organised, and positive learning environment
• Support pupils in their academic, social, and emotional development
• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources
• Record and report student progress to teaching staff as required
• Take part in school events, activities, and team planning meetings

What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:

• Experience working with young people in an educational or youth setting is desirable
• A positive, patient, and proactive approach
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• A commitment to supporting the educational development of students
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. in education or child development) are beneficial but not essential
