About the Role We are seeking a reliable and proactive General Maintenance Operative to join our team. In this role, you will look after the day-to-day upkeep, routine repairs, and safety checks of our facilities. This is a hands-on position perfect for a skilled multi-trader who enjoys variety, takes pride in keeping a site running smoothly, and is ready to utilize a company vehicle for the role. Key Responsibilities Carry out general maintenance tasks and handywork including painting, carpentry touches, and basic repairs. Conduct routine facility checks and preventative maintenance. Assist with basic plumbing and electrical troubleshooting as needed. Respond to reactive maintenance requests efficiently and safely. Operate the company vehicle responsibly to travel between tasks or sites. Work collaboratively with the wider team and external contractors. Participate in the weekend on-call rota (1 weekend in 5) once fully trained. What We Are Looking For A full, clean UK driving licence (essential for operating the company vehicle). Proven experience in general handywork and building maintenance. Plumbing and electrical skills are highly desirable and will be considered a strong bonus. A strong team player who is happy to support colleagues and share tasks. A good level of spoken and written English to communicate clearly with staff and log maintenance notes.
