Service Desk Coordinator

 

Location: Wednesbury
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm
Temporary to Permanent

 

Pertemps West Bromwich are currently recruiting for a Service Desk Coordinator to join a busy and growing company based in Wednesbury.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong customer service, coordination and organisational skills who enjoys working in a busy environment and is looking for a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent.

 

The Role:

As a Service Desk Coordinator, your duties will include:

• Acting as a key point of contact for customers and providing regular updates
  
  
• Booking engineers onto customer jobs and appointments
  
  
• Checking engineers' schedules and locations to ensure jobs are coordinated effectively
  
  
• Liaising with customers to arrange services and appointments
  
  
• Keeping customers informed of engineer attendance and job progress
  
  
• Keeping invoices and costings up to date
  
  
• Completing accurate data entry
  
  
• Providing general office and service desk support to the wider team
  
  
• Assisting with any other duties as required
  
   
  
  

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in a customer service, coordination or office-based role is desirable
  
  
• Must be confident and comfortable speaking to customers over the telephone
  
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
  
• Strong customer service skills and a professional telephone manner
  
  
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  
  
• Confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office
  
  
• Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  
  
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
  
  
• Reliable, organised and proactive
  
  
• Flexibility with start times is essential
  
   
  
  

Hours & Pay:

• Monday to Friday
  
  
• Start time between 7:30am and 8:30am, depending on business requirements
  
  
• Finish time: 5:00pm
  
  
• £12.71 per hour
  
  
• Temporary to permanent opportunity
