HGV 1 Night Shunter We are currently recruiting for a HGV 1 Night Shunter in Wednesbury for an exciting temp-perm opportunity. Mon-Fri 17:00-04:30am 42,000 salary Duties Handover from planner to shunter for nights loading requirements. Complete Tug safety checks Completing vehicle safety checks before shunting trailers to loading bay Keep pace with loading operation to meet loading schedule demands. Assist when and where needed to strap loads. (But this is generally done by the loading team) Support the nightshift team leader with fleet maintenance where possible i.e. changing bulbs curtain buckles, that type of thing. Assist with fleet housekeeping. Work to set safety standards Requirements 6 months HGV 1 experience Valid HGV licence with relevant category entitlement (Category C+E preferred) Delivery driver experience is advantageous, demonstrating familiarity with logistics processes Strong understanding of vehicle safety procedures and yard organisation Ability to operate within a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team A responsible attitude towards safety and compliance standards in line with industry regulations If you are interested in this HGV 1 Night shunting role, please click APPLY now.
