This is an excellent opportunity for a recent English graduate (or related subject) who is eager to gain hands-on experience in education. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting classroom learning and delivering the school''s targeted Reading Programme, designed to raise literacy levels and boost reading confidence across KS3 and KS4. Responsibilities Support students across a range of subjects, with a particular focus on literacy and written work. Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group sessions as part of the Reading Programme. Assist in developing and implementing effective reading strategies, guided reading, and comprehension activities. Monitor pupil engagement and progress, providing regular feedback to teaching staff and the SENCo. Build strong, supportive relationships with students to enhance confidence and participation. Ideal Candidate A degree in English, English Literature, or a closely related subject. A genuine passion for education, literacy, and supporting young people. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A calm, encouraging, and proactive approach. Previous school-based experience is desirable, but not essential.
