Purchase Ledger Manager

RM Recruit is delighted to be partnering with a respected not-for-profit organisation based in Birmingham in the search for a confident and articulate Purchase Ledger Manager. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with only one day per week required in the office. As a Purchase Ledger Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end transactional function and manage a small team. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processing, while supporting the wider finance function with reporting and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Posting of journals Supervision of transactional finance staff Preparation, posting, and processing of invoices and payments Posting of prepayments and accruals Managing general and complex finance queries Processing payroll-related payments Authorising purchase and sales ledger payments Maintaining accurate financial records, including banking and purchase ledger Person Specification Proven experience in a similar purchase ledger or accounts payable management role Strong leadership and communication skills High attention to detail and excellent organisational ability Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative Ability to plan and prioritise workloads Confident with accounting systems and Excel A team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving Experience within the not-for-profit or public sector is desirable but not essential If you are seeking a n
