Project Manager

A Project Manager with experience of managing Electro-Mechanical, Instrumentation or Electrical / Electronic Equipment projects for the Renewables, Energy, Infrastructure or Rail sectors is sought by a growing engineering company near Daventry
EXCITING OPPORTUNITY
You will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of instrumentation installation projects. Your key responsibilities will be Project Delivery & Execution, Team Leadership, Line Management, Stakeholder Engagement and fostering a culture of excellence within your team and the company. This will include: -
- Planning and managing end-to-end project lifecycles, ensuring delivery to time, scope, budget, and quality standards
- Resource planning, procurement and allocation
- Coordinating internal teams and subcontractors to deliver against project plans
- Monitoring progress using project management tools and frameworks, escalating risks or blockers promptly
- Ensuring margin is protected, and improved where possible
- Support the development and performance optimisation of individuals within the team, enabling them to grow with the business and maximise agility
- Maintain clear, proactive communication channels to ensure alignment, satisfaction of priorities and transparency
- Contributing to client updates and reporting (within immediate team, and wider MI)
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement in delivery processes
YOUR SKILLS
The successful candidate will have proven experience managing construction or electro-technical projects (ideally within security systems, renewables, or infrastructure sectors), a good knowledge of CDM / HSE requirements with NEC / JCT Contract experience ideal, You will be commercially and financially literate with good project management and leadership skills. Experience of project management methodologies and tools such as PRINCE2, Agile, MS Project etc is needed as is a good level of IT proficiency coupled with the ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on, detail-focused delivery
A collaborative nature, good problem-solving skills and a solutions based approach to managing projects are essential personal qualities
An Engineering background or experience in an engineering-led business with experience implementing or optimising field service/project systems and an understanding of the renewable energy sector or utility-scale infrastructure would be ideal
The role is office-based with regular field visits (20-25%) although some hybrid working will be possible in the longer term.
