Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Salary: Up to -18.00 per hour, dependent on experience
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Job Type: Permanent, Days

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a well-established and growing engineering and machinery manufacturing business based in Doncaster.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Press Brake Operator, CNC Press Brake Operator or Machine Operator with a background in metalwork, fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, operating and programming machinery to produce components accurately to specification. You will work with a range of manufacturing equipment including press brakes, saws and laser machinery, ensuring finished components meet the required quality standards.



Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate press brake machinery
  • Take accurate measurements and mark materials ready for cutting, forming and shaping
  • Plan the correct sequence of operations required to complete each job
  • Select the appropriate machinery, tooling and processes
  • Load and position materials correctly
  • Set and programme batch sizes and machine speeds
  • Monitor machinery throughout the manufacturing process and make adjustments when required
  • Inspect finished components against specifications and identify any defects
  • Use precision measuring equipment to ensure components are produced accurately
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation
  • Work safely and in accordance with company procedures
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and housekeeping


What We''re Looking For

  • Previous experience operating Press Brake machinery
  • Experience setting and/or programming Press Brake machinery would be highly advantageous
  • Experience operating manual, semi-automatic or automated manufacturing machinery
  • Background within sheet metal, fabrication, engineering or manufacturing
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics and technical manuals
  • Confident using precision measuring equipment
  • Good understanding of metals and material properties
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong manual dexterity
  • Good mathematical and analytical skills
  • Understanding of workshop health and safety procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team
