Job Title: Commercial Manager - Rail Signalling ProjectsAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to support a growing portfolio of railway signalling projects based in Derby. This role will play a key part in the commercial management of multiple signalling schemes, ensuring strong cost control, contractual compliance, and commercial performance across the project lifecycle.The successful candidate will bring hands-on experience within rail signalling, with a solid understanding of Network Rail frameworks, contracts, and delivery environments.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial management of multiple rail signalling projects from pre-contract through to final accountManagement of budgets, forecasts, CVRs, and cost controlContract administration (NEC preferred) including change control, compensation events, and claimsSupporting project and engineering teams to ensure commercial best practiceManaging and mentoring commercial staff where requiredWorking closely with clients, suppliers, and subcontractorsEnsuring compliance with company procedures and rail industry standardsEssential RequirementsProven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the rail sectorStrong background in railway signalling projects (essential)In-depth knowledge of NEC contractsExperience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong commercial, contractual, and financial acumenExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsEligible to work in the UK
