Straight-Line Civils are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background in concrete to start on site in York. Responsibilities: (includes but not limited to) Preparing bill of quantities, budgeting, and cost control for projects Working closely with other team members including site and project managers, operations and commercial directors Managing and negotiating with clients, suppliers and subcontractors Handle contracts meticulously to ensure the company is safeguarded in respect of contractual notifications progress, cost, quality etc Working closely with the Commercial and Operations Directors Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the concrete industry Preferably experience working on a bridge project Valid driving licence The job is a freelance site-based position in York This salary is negotiable/dependent on experience.
