We Are Zenith are working with our client who are a Manufacturer based here in the North-East and are looking for an experienced, Time-served Mechanical Biased Maintenance Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities: Work proactively to maintain and repair equipment across multiple areas of the plant. Promptly respond to breakdowns and planned maintenance work. To carry out routine Mechanical Maintenance e.g. Pumps, bearings etc and to assist in electrical maintenance wherever possible. To maintain plant and equipment both reactively (e.g. breakdowns), and proactively (e.g. PPMs, spares build-up). To identify root causes wherever possible and to communicate with relevant personnel. To communicate all relevant and necessary information with lead technician, maintenance technician, colleagues or others within the organisation. To hand over any work which remains incomplete at the end of a shift To refer to records, drawings, manuals, and other material as necessary To work effectively with colleagues and subcontractors To perform any other duties as required by The Company Qualifications: Completed Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Qualified to a minimum standard of ONC/HND/HNC/NVQ Level 3.
