Our client is a well-established specialist contractor operating within the industrial and commercial roofing and cladding sector. With an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality building envelope solutions, the business works across a range of projects involving industrial roofing, commercial cladding, rainscreen fa-ades and building refurbishment.

Offering a comprehensive service from initial project costing and technical design through to installation and completion, the company has developed strong relationships with leading manufacturers and clients across the construction industry.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Roofing & Cladding Estimator to join the commercial team, based in Stockport.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in estimating within the roofing and cladding sector, with particular experience pricing industrial projects. You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders, reviewing technical specifications, assessing project requirements and producing detailed cost estimates across a variety of industrial and commercial schemes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator who understands the technical and commercial demands of industrial roofing and cladding projects and is looking to join an established specialist contractor.

• Preparing detailed and competitive estimates for industrial roofing and cladding projects.

• Reviewing tender documentation, drawings, specifications and schedules.

• Assessing project requirements and identifying suitable roofing and cladding systems.

• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations.

• Producing accurate material, labour, plant and associated cost breakdowns.

• Liaising with manufacturers, suppliers and subcontractors to establish competitive pricing.

• Identifying commercial risks, opportunities and potential value engineering solutions.

• Preparing tender submissions and supporting documentation.

• Attending tender meetings and liaising with clients where required.

• Working closely with the commercial and operational teams to ensure a smooth handover of successful projects.

• Proven experience as an Estimator within the roofing and cladding industry.

• Strong industrial roofing and cladding project experience is essential.

• Good understanding of industrial roofing systems, wall cladding and associated building envelope products.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation.

• Experience obtaining supplier quotations and building accurate cost plans.

• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

• Confident communication and negotiation skills.

• Able to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively.

• Salary of -60,000 - -65,000, depending on experience.
