Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

• Quantify materials and labour requirements from technical drawings and site visits.
• Prepare cost estimates for residential, commercial, and specialist construction projects.
• Obtain competitive quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage tender documentation and create detailed BOQs and cost schedules.
• Collaborate with project teams to align commercial strategies and ensure accurate handovers.
• Support early-stage project delivery with ongoing commercial insight and analysis.

Candidate Requirements

• 2+ years of estimating experience in the construction sector, particularly listed or heritage projects
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and cost structures
• Confident with Excel and estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam, Planswift, ConQuest)
• Able to interpret architectural/structural drawings and specifications
• Detail-focused with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commercially aware and proactive in identifying value engineering opportunities.
