Your new companyA rapidly growing accountancy firm is looking for an Audit Manager on a 6-month contract. The accountancy firm provides a number of accounting, audit, tax advice and advisory services to a number of clients from SMEs through to large international groups. Your new roleAs an Audit Manager, you will take ownership of a varied audit portfolio, leading engagements from planning through to completion. You will provide technical guidance, manage staff, and act as a trusted advisor to clients.Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage audit assignments, ensuring delivery on time and to a high standard- Oversee the planning, fieldwork, and completion of audits in line with UK auditing standards- Review audit files and financial statements for accuracy and compliance- Manage relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as their main point of contact- Provide coaching and support to audit seniors and juniors during engagements- Work closely with partners to resolve complex technical or risk issues- Draft audit reports, management letters, and key communications- Ensure adherence to internal methodologies, ethical requirements, and regulatory standardsWhat you''ll need to succeed- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)- Significant experience managing audit engagements within an accountancy practice- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and UK GAAP- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines- Excellent client-facing and relationsh
