Pertemps is recruiting for an experienced

Local Authority Senior Pensions Advisor

in North West London.

Role Responsibilities:

Calculate and check redundancy payments where required.

Process Contributions: Handle all types of pension benefits and contributions accurately.

Process and check weekly payments, ensuring they are calculated correctly and processed timely.

Analyse and manage monthly employer contribution remittances and schedules.

Support in processing early retirements, providing relevant data to pensions administrators, and liaising with relevant parties for accurate and timely information.

Provide training and guidance to pension/HR colleagues regarding LGPS administration.

Assist in maintaining records for system control, performance monitoring, and benchmarking.

Check pensions payroll data for new pensioners, deaths, beneficiaries, and adjustments, resolving discrepancies.

Support complaint investigations and ombudsman requests.

Knowledge and Skills:

Extensive knowledge of LGPS Regulations, TPS, Discretionary Payments Regulations, State Pension Scheme, HMRC, and The Pensions Regulator requirements.

Experience in providing relevant data to pension administrators and monitoring record accuracy.
