37 hours per week Monday to Friday Immediate start Category C licence essential We re recruiting an HGV Mechanic to join a fleet services workshop in Nottingham. As an HGV Mechanic, you ll service, repair and inspect heavy goods vehicles, alongside light commercial, municipal, electric and hybrid vehicles. HGV Mechanic duties Service, repair and carry out safety inspections on HGVs and other fleet vehicles. Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults. Prepare HGVs and other fleet vehicles for MOT testing. Carry out welding, fabrication and vehicle body repairs. Respond to breakdowns and assess accident-damaged vehicles. Keep accurate maintenance and repair records and maintain high workshop standards. What you ll need Level 3 City and Guilds qualification in Heavy Motor Vehicle Engineering or equivalent. Full UK driving licence with Category C entitlement (essential). DVSA inspection and testing qualification.
