Production Team Leader (Mechanical) £18.00 - £20.00 per hour Worcester Permanent full time 37 hours per week Benefits Flextime Pension Early finish Fridays Job description / Purpose of the Role: Reporting to the Production Supervisor , you will lead the Mechanical team to fabricate, machine, assemble and align rotating machinery designed for use in our bespoke engine, drive-train, or component test systems. This is a hands on team leader role working as part of the team to produce parts and assemblies to meet the production plan aiding workflow through the department. Support the in-house quality assurance procedures by ensuring all work is checked and internal standards are clearly defined and understood by the team. Identify and implement improvement opportunities to increase productivity and efficiency of the department. Support the skill development of the mechanical team including apprentices. Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities Read and interpret Bill of Materials, technical drawings, and mechanical parts operation to support and guide the Mechanical Manufacturing team (fabrication, fitting and machining). Support the team with mechanical fitting and / or welding tasks as required for the production plan. Ensure all projects are delivered by the team to the highest possible standards and in a timely fashion. Work with the Production Supervisor to agree work allocation amongst the team.
