They are currently recruiting for qualified solicitors/lawyers with 0-5 years PQE to join their Actions Against the Police team based in Liverpool. This role is open to claimant personal injury lawyers with Part 7 litigation and a demonstrable interest in civil liberties work. Your new roleThis Actions Against the Police role will see you: Manage your own caseload of claims against the police and public bodies, including: unlawful arrest, false imprisonment, human rights breaches, malicious prosecution, misfeasance in public office and judicial reviews.Handle a caseload of actions against the police from inception to conclusion.Conduct thorough legal research and provide clear, practical advice to clients.Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings and witness statements.Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court when necessary.Work effectively in a target-driven, fast-paced environment.Collaborate with colleagues to achieve successful case outcomes.Stay up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulations. What you''ll need to succeedYou must be a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive. All applicants must have a strong litigation background with a minimum of 3 years experience handling your own caseload of Part 7 litigation work.
