The Role We are seeking a motivated and skilled Lecturer in Public Services and Sports to join our Public Services and Sport department at Hammersmith campus. This role is 36 hours a week, Term Time Only, on a Permanent Contract. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across Public Services and Sports programmes, supporting learners to achieve their full potential. The role involves classroom, practical and activity-based delivery, learner support, assessment, and contribution to curriculum development, ensuring provision remains industry-relevant and aligned with awarding body requirements. Where appropriate, you may also take responsibility for leading a study programme or course, including curriculum design, quality assurance and learner outcomes The ideal candidate will: Deliver engaging and effective teaching, training and assessment across Motor Vehicle programmes. Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work and high-quality teaching materials in line with College and awarding body requirements. Act as a Personal Tutor, providing academic and pastoral support and delivering the College tutorial programme. Monitor learner attendance, progress, behaviour and achievement, taking appropriate action where required. Integrate English and Maths into vocational teaching and support delivery of GCSE and/or Functional Skills where required. Act as an internal assessor and internal verifier as required.
