SEND Support Assistant Primary Nurture CentreLocation: Castleford, WF10 Pay: £98 £108 per day Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am 3:30pm Contract: Term time only Start Date: ASAP until the end of the academic yearAre you an experienced SEND Support Assistant who understands that behaviour is often a form of communication?PK Education is recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEND Support Assistant to join a specialist primary nurture centre in the Castleford area.The provision supports children aged 5 11 with significant Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, many of whom also have additional communication and interaction needs.With a high level of adult support, the centre provides a structured, nurturing environment where positive relationships, consistency and individualised approaches are central to helping children feel safe, supported and ready to learn.The RoleAs a SEND Support Assistant, you will:Provide individual and small-group support to primary-aged children with complex SEMH needs.Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication and social interaction.Build positive, trusting relationships with children who may find mainstream educational environments challenging.Implement individualised strategies to support behaviour, engagement and learning.Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support professionals to maintain a safe, consistent and nurturing environment.Encourage independence, confidence and positive social ..... full job details .....
