Our client are a growing manufacturer of a range of natural stone and engineered stone ( Slips/panelling), brick and paving veneers that are light, versatile and easy to install. They offer architects, developers and self builders a large choice of indoor and outdoor applications and have been developing as a business for the past 15 years. They are now looking to recruit a southern based Area Sales manager to further develop and grow the region which largely takes in Dorset, Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, London, Surrey and part of the Northern home counties. You will take a proactive approach to new business developent as well as nurture and grow existing accounts within the independent and national merchant sector. Around 60-70% of your time will be working with them and the remainder with Contractors and specifiers. You will be an outgoing salesperson with a ''hunter'' mentality and ideally will have sold to the merchants on patch. If you have any experience in selling a heavy side product that would be ideal though not essential. You might be working for a merchant wanting to specialise or possibly working for another manufacturer and wish to join a thriving business where staff retention is very high.
