Our client is one of the South East’s leading Design, Build, and Maintenance firms. 

Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking to appoint a proactive and reliable Warehouse Assistant/Driver to join their logistics and operations team in Woolwich.

Role Overview

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse activities. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved in managing inventory, preparing materials for on-site engineers, and handling collections and deliveries to various locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage stock levels and organise warehouse space efficiently
• Prepare materials, equipment, and tools for dispatch to project sites
• Load and unload deliveries using a forklift (training available if needed)
• Deliver and collect goods between the warehouse, suppliers, and job sites
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety across the warehouse
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency
• Adhere to all company procedures for stock handling and inventory control
• Support ad-hoc operational duties as required

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse or logistics role (preferably in construction or engineering)
• A forklift licence is desirable (training provided for the right candidate)
• A full, clean UK driving licence is essential
• Comfortable using stock management systems and basic IT tools
• Knowledge of warehouse health and safety procedures
• Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments
