Lead Product Manager – Outside IR35 – Remote Government. Product Strategy GDS Standards Stakeholder Engagement Coaching and Mentoring Public Sector.Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery and development of a diverse digital product portfolio, acting as the strategic point of escalation for delivery teamsProvide product leadership and direction to achieve key programme milestones across health, science, and national service projectsCollaborate on the development and implementation of digital strategies and operating modelsSupport the Head of Digital Products and Services to identify and prioritise continuous improvement opportunitiesCoach and mentor Senior Product Managers, developing them towards Lead Product Manager rolesEmbed Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and strengthen product capability across the organisationSupport the recruitment and onboarding of a permanent Lead Product Manager, ensuring a smooth knowledge transferSkills/Experience

Extensive experience in digital product leadership within large, complex portfoliosProven track record of working with senior leadership and executive stakeholdersSkilled at driving product strategy and balancing long-term vision with short-term deliveryDeep experience embedding GDS Service Standards and operating models across product teamsStrong mentoring and coaching skills with a focus on growing internal capabilityComfortable working across multiple concurrent digital services, each at different phases of the lifecycle (Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live)The Details
