KS2 Teaching Assistant Location: Chorley Duration: Long-term from September Salary: -94 per day

Are you a dedicated Key Stage 2 specialist looking for a stable long-term role in a supportive environment? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly 2-form entry primary school in Chorley. This position is to start in September on an ongoing basis.

The Role Working within a collaborative KS2 team, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and social development of older primary learners. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Class Teacher in delivering lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

• Leading small group or 1-to-1 intervention sessions focusing on core subjects such as Literacy and Numeracy (including SATs preparation support).

• Assisting with classroom management, tracking progress, and contributing to student assessments.

• Providing a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that fosters independence and confidence.

• Supporting pupils with diverse learning needs, ensuring every child reaches their potential.

Requirements

• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

• Proven experience working within a Key Stage 2 (KS2) school setting.

• A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and primary assessment milestones.

• A patient, adaptable, and encouraging approach to learning.

• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for a new one).

• Legal right to work in the UK.
