The Opportunity
An established, privately owned housebuilder and main contractor is looking to appoint an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team in West Kent.
The business has built a strong reputation across Kent and is entering an exciting period of growth, with several residential developments already underway and a number of substantial new projects due to commence in 2027.
With a strong pipeline of secured work across Kent, this is an excellent time to join the company, offering the opportunity to become involved in new developments from the early stages while benefiting from long term stability and genuine career progression.
This position would suit an intermediate Quantity Surveyor who has gained solid commercial experience and is looking to take on greater responsibility, with the opportunity to progress towards Senior Quantity Surveyor level.
The role is primarily office based, with regular visits to residential project sites across Kent. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you'll work closely with experienced commercial and construction teams, taking ownership of subcontractor packages and supporting the commercial management of developments.
Unlike larger PLC housebuilders, the business offers a more hands on and collaborative environment, with direct access to senior management, greater autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine impact as the company continues to expand.

Preparing and negotiating subcontractor final accounts.
Requirements

Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential construction, housebuilding or main contracting.

Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial reporting.
-
Strong organisational, numerical and communication skills.

Salary of £55,000 to £65,000 plus package and performance related bonus scheme.
