Welder Fabricator Location: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: 34,000 per annum We are seeking an experienced and motivated Welder Fabricator to join our growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern production environment where quality, safety and teamwork are highly valued. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating manual and semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using a variety of welding processes, including gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, shielded metal arc, resistance welding and submerged arc welding. You will carry out positional welding on structural steel, undertake tacking, marking out, jigging and fabrication activities, and ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards. The role involves monitoring fitting, burning and welding processes to prevent overheating, distortion, shrinking, warping or expansion of materials. You will examine completed work for defects and use measuring equipment, straightedges and templates to ensure compliance with engineering specifications. Following technical drawings, standard operating procedures and bills of materials is a key part of the position. You will be required to prepare and fabricate metal components ready for welding and operate workshop equipment including chop saws, iron workers, pillar drills and linishers.
