Special Needs SupportType: PermanentLocation: LeedsSalary: 17,500 - 21,500Hours: 32.5 Hours Per Week The Role:Veritas Education are working with a cluster of SEN schools in the Leeds area looking to recruit multiple "Special Needs Support" staff.You will work alongside a range of learners from early years age groups up to post 16 (Up to 19 years old).Support a range of learning needs from Autism, Asperger''s, ADHD, sensory and communication needs.Be comfortable working on a 1:1 basis with a range of learners, supporting them throughout their daily activities, whether that is in the classroom, or activities outside/around the community.Confidently support children demonstrating challenging behaviour, helping de-escalate crisis moments, and implement behaviour management strategies to calm situations.Effectively work alongside a range of support, teaching, leaders and external staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
