This is a technical accounting role with fixed asset and Capital accountingDescriptionThis role will lead and manage all fixed asset and balance sheet accounting while providing technical accounting expertise to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, enhance financial reporting, and to improve operational processes. This role will provide technical and accounting support to the Finance team. You will be managing two members of staff. Manage the monthly Balance Sheet reporting of group and subsidiary companies. This includes ensuring all fixed assets (additions and disposals of housing and other assets), capitalisation, grant and depreciation are accounted for correctly. You will lead a team of two, providing coaching, development support, and performance management.Provide guidance on financial compliance, processes, and policies to the wider Finance team and business. This will include the preparation of accounting policy papers in line with applicable accounting standards, review of changes to the Capital Funding Guide and presenting complex issues clearly to aid business decisions.Manage the control process to ensure the integrity of all accounting records, ensuring regular reconciliations are prepared and reviewed. This includes regular reconciliations between asset and accounting databases.A
